About

Fabian is the Chief Resident in Interventional Radiology at Yale New Haven Hospital. He joined Yale in 2016 after having completed medical school at Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU) Munich and his surgical intern year at Cornell Presbyterian Hospital in New York. Fabian is a co-founder of Road2IR. This collaborative effort of Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in Tanzania, together with Yale, Emory and other institutions in North America has the goal of making interventional radiology more accessible in East Africa. The project was awarded with an RSNA R&E Foundation Derek Harwood-Nash International Education Scholar Grant in 2020. Fabian is also active in the Yale Interventional Oncology lab, where he has worked on evaluation of a novel imaging technique to visualize tumor hypoxia and acidity noninvasively in a rabbit liver tumor model after transarterial chemoembolization.
