About
Dr. Navneet Sharma is an interventional cardiologist and vascular interventionist in the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic. He specializes in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of complex cardiovascular and vascular diseases, including peripheral arterial disease, critical limb ischemia, carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, coronary artery disease, pulmonary embolism, and deep vein thrombosis. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and adult echocardiography.
Dr. Sharma earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. He went on to complete fellowships in cardiovascular disease at Stony Brook University, interventional cardiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College, and vascular medicine and endovascular intervention through Columbia University. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sharma is actively involved in cardiovascular research, has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters, and has received recognition for his contributions to interventional cardiology and vascular medicine.
