About
John W. Ostrominski, MD MPH is a preventive cardiologist and obesity medicine specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School (Boston, MA).
After receiving a bachelor’s degree (2013) in Human Biology from the University of Texas at Austin (Austin, TX) and subsequently a medical doctorate (2018) from the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (San Antonio, TX), where he was induced into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, he completed internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He additionally served as a Chief Medical Resident at the West Roxbury Veterans Affairs Medical Center (West Roxbury, MA) and obtained a Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
His research focuses on the epidemiology, adverse health effects, and treatment of obesity, with specific interests in cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic health and healthcare delivery innovation. Further, he is an investigator in advanced-phase clinical trials and implementation-focused programs in obesity and heart failure.
