ACHD Surgery 101: Thinking Like a Surgeon

About
Tripti Gupta, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist who specializes in caring for adults with congenital heart disease, an abnormality in the heart that is present at birth. An assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Gupta is involved in training medical students, residents and fellows in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Her research focus is in understanding and managing advanced heart failure in adults with congenital heart disease.
She completed a fellowship in adult congenital heart disease at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a general cardiology fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine. Dr. Gupta earned her medical degree from University of Queensland Ochsner Clinical School in New Orleans. Dr. Gupta is a member of the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association.
