About
Dr. Scott C. Matherly is a transplant hepatologist and gastroenterologist at VCU Health, where he specializes in the management of cirrhosis, end-stage liver disease, hepatocellular carcinoma, portal hypertension, and liver transplantation. He serves as Medical Director of the Digestive Health Service, Program Director of the Transplant Hepatology Fellowship, and is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Matherly is actively involved in medical education and research focused on advanced liver disease and liver cancer, and has been recognized with multiple teaching awards and as one of Richmond's Top Doctors for his contributions to hepatology.
