About

Dr. Crosby serves as Acting Chair, Residency Program Director, and Associate Professor in the Department Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Southern Illinois University. She is the Director of the Division of Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery, the Director of Otolaryngic Allergy and the director of Comprehensive Otolaryngology. She was elected “SIU Surgical Educator of the Year” in 2018 and Otolaryngology educator of the year in 2020.

A native of Pennsylvania, she obtained her undergraduate degree from Allegheny College before receiving her medical degree from Drexel University. Dr. Crosby completed her residency training at Southern Illinois University and went on to complete a fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Since that time, she has served as faculty at Southern Illinois University. While serving as faculty at SIU, she obtained a Master of Public Health degree from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. Dr. Crosby’s clinical practice includes sinus surgery and endoscopic approaches to the skull base and orbit in pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Crosby’s research interests include understanding factors that impact outcomes following endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery, gender disparity in medicine, and leadership in medicine. She has been an invited lecturer at numerous national and international conferences where she has discussed a variety of rhinologic topics and demonstrated cadaveric skull base dissections.
