About
Dr. Daniel Chelius, MD, FAAP, FACS, is a pediatric otolaryngologist with Texas Children's Hospital and an associate professor of pediatric otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 2005, and then completed his residency in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Children’s Mercy Hospital, and has been in practice for over 10 years.
Dr. Chelius’s clinical interests include general pediatric otolaryngology, pediatric head and neck surgery including acquired and congenital head and neck masses, head and neck cancers, and thyroid disease as well as in the head and neck sequelae of immunocompromise and cancer treatment.
Dr. Chelius’s goal is to bring the highest quality care to each individual child as a partner with their family. He leads a high volume, focused, multidisciplinary Pediatric Head and Neck Tumor Team in collaboration with colleagues from Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, Speech and Language Pathology, Oral Surgery, and Oncology. Dr. Chelius is also a Pediatric Thyroid Surgeon in Texas Children’s Pediatric Thyroid Tumor Program, where he collaborates with a team including several other high volume thyroid surgeons and a focused team of thyroid experts from oncology, endocrinology, diagnostic and interventional radiology, genetics, and nuclear medicine.
