About
Dr. Daniel Choo, MD, is a distinguished pediatric ENT-otolaryngologist, Director of the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio, and Professor of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the UC Department of Pediatrics. He completed his medical degree and residency at State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse, NY in 1989. He then pursued fellowships in Neuro-otology at the Ear Research Foundation, and Molecular and Developmental Biology of the Inner Ear at the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
Dr. Choo is board-certified in otolaryngology, and has been in practice for over 20 years. He specializes in cochlear implantation and other implantable hearing devices that help restore a child’s hearing, and has received the Cincinnati Children’s Patient Family Experience Award. Dr. Choo’s research focuses on new and better ways to manage and treat conditions of the ear, nose and throat. His research emphasis includes advanced understanding of sleep disruption and circadian biology to help children with obstructive sleep apnea, gene therapies for deafness, innovative surgical techniques for reconstructing malformed or scarred airways, and novel surgical instrumentation to improve minimally invasive ear surgery.
