About Dr. Scott McCusker
Dr. Scott McCusker is an otolaryngologist at Mercy Medical Group in Sacramento, California. His special interests include facial plastic surgery, including facial cosmetic surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, head and neck cancer, and thyroid surgery. In his own words, Dr. McCusker bacame of a surgeon because both of his parents are physicians (now retired), and he always knew medicine was the path for himself. Surgery was a natural fit because of the artistic aspects and his love of building things and working with his hands. Otolaryngology allows Dr. McCusker to not only be a surgeon, but also treat medical diseases of the head and neck, and he loves the fine detail work that is inherent in his specialty. His personal interests and hobbies include photography, especially wildlife; woodworking, cooking, hiking, piano, and bass guitar. Dr. McCusker strives to give every patient the best possible care, and to always "under-promise and over-deliver." Surgery is a demanding business and he doesn't compromise with his patients' care.
