About
Dr. Evans is an Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery for Emory University and a Pediatric Otolaryngologist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. He received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following his residency training he completed a fellowship in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Seattle Children's Hospital in Washington.
Throughout his training, Dr. Evans has received numerous scholarships and awards for his clinical, research and teaching pursuits. In medical school, he was named to the academic honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and received the Harold G. Tabb Otolaryngology award. As a resident, he presented at both the national and international levels, highlighting research that focused on pediatrics and sleep. During his fellowship year, he received the honor of best fellow manuscript by the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, in addition to multiple research grants.
Dr. Evans has an interest in international medical collaboration. He has participated in medical missions to the Philippines, performed scholarly work in South Korea and conducted surgical education to otolaryngology residents in Costa Rica.
Clinically, his interests include head and neck masses including tumors and vascular malformations, congenital deformities, diseases of the sinuses and nose, airway abnormalities, speech difficulties, and ear infections and disease, in addition to the full breadth of pediatric otolaryngologic care. When not at work, Dr. Evans enjoys traveling and hiking with his wife and two dogs.
