Michael Johnson Jr. Esq

Michael Johnson is a lawyer that helps physicians evaluate, negotiate, and enforce physician contracts. Mr. Johnson’s interest in physicians is personal, as his wife is a psychiatrist and he has personally experienced navigating physician contracts. He started his law firm, Michael Johnson Legal, in 2019 to assist physicians and small businesses in meeting their legal needs on personalized flat-fee budgets. The majority of his practice is assisting first contract physicians navigate the transition out of training. He also assists physicians transitioning between employment, buying and selling practices, contract renegotiations, litigating and arbitrating legal disputes concerning physician contracts, and everything in between. Before founding Michael Johnson Legal in 2019, Mr. Johnson was a litigator for firms in New Orleans, Louisiana, in areas of Construction, Insurance, Employment, Workers Compensation, and General Business litigation. He graduated from Tulane Law School in 2014, where he found success in moot court competitions and served in a variety of clerkships. Before law school, Mr. Johnson was the assistant coach of the Tulane Women’s Tennis team. He also won an NAIA national championship in tennis at Auburn University – Mongomery, played the lower levels of professional tennis, and was ranked top 50 in the world in junior tennis.
