About
Dr. Dos Santos (“Gui”) is a Fellowship Trained Interventional Pain Physician, currently working as a Senior Specialist in Pain Medicine at the Division of Pain Medicine at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, University of Barcelona (2023 – Present). Gui is a regularly invited lecturer at national and international conferences in the field. He has delivered over 30 lectures, published 26 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and serves as faculty for 8 national and international medical societies. He currently serves as Associate Editor for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the official journal of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (2023 – Present). During his time in Canada, Gui served as Teaching assistant to Dr. Phillip Peng, MBBS Founder (Pain Medicine), in national and international conferences, in live demonstrations of ultrasound-guided procedures in the setting of Pain Medicine.
Dr. Dos Santos has received over 10 national and international honors in the field of Pain Medicine. Notably, he was awarded the 2018 edition of the Grant for Young Clinical Researcher of the Year in Pain Medicine, by the Grünenthal Foundation; the 2020 edition of the Gofeld Academic Scholarship Award, by the World Academy of Pain Medicine United; and the 2022 Edition of the Nikolai Bogduk Young Investigator Grant, by the Spine Intervention Society.
