About
Aakriti R. Carrubba, M.D., is a Senior Associate Consultant in the Department of Medical and Surgical Gynecology and an Assistant Professor of OBGYN. Dr. Carrubba has completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Florida, and she is committed to providing minimally invasive options for patients in order to shorten recovery time and return to normal activity. She is an active member of AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists) and has attended workshops on robotic surgery implementation.
Dr. Carrubba focuses on management of: abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis, and chronic pelvic pain, among others. Examples of procedures she performs regularly include hysteroscopy, conventional laparoscopy and robotic surgery, hysterectomy, myomectomy, and endometriosis excision. Her clinical interests include novel and comprehensive treatments for chronic pelvic pain and surgical education programs for trainees. Dr. Carrubba is thoughtful, empathetic, and takes time to develop individualized plans with her patients. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for women, and she is an outspoken advocate for equality in healthcare.
