Dr. Hiba J. Mustafa currently serves as the Director of Fetal Surgery, the Director of the Placenta Accreta Spectrum Program, and the Director of Ultrasound Elective at Indiana University and Riley Children’s Hospital.
She is a distinguished Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist with a subspecialty in Fetal Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Mustafa practices at Fetal Center at Riley Children's and Indiana University Health where she plays a leading role in both the clinical and research aspects
Dr. Mustafa is a dedicated physician-scientist, boasting numerous publications in fetal diagnosis and therapy. She has garnered multiple research funds and currently serves as the principal investigator and co-investigator on several international collaborative research projects. Her clinical and research interests encompass medical and surgical therapy for complex fetal conditions, management of multiple gestations, and innovative ultrasound techniques, including first-trimester ultrasound, fetal echocardiography, fetal neurosonography, and 3D/4D imaging for diagnosing abnormal fetal and placental conditions.
