Dr. Rad completed his undergraduate studies at West Virginia University where he pursued degrees in Chemistry and German. He received his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Subsequently, he moved to Grand Rapids, MI where he completed his urological surgical training with emphasis on robotic surgery at Metro Health - University of Michigan Health. He currently serves as Medical Director of Robotic Surgery at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. He is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
He has earned the distinction of Master Robotic Surgeon awarded by the Surgical Review Corporation and is a Center of Excellence for the UroLift procedure.
Dr Rad has authored and contributed to numerous research studies and publications. He is an expert in all robotic procedures with an emphasis on prostate, kidney, and bladder surgery. He also specializes in UroLift as well as the InterStim procedure to treat lower urinary tract symptoms.
