Dr. Kate Baker is a board-certified medical oncologist, hematologist, and Medical Director of Value-Based Care at Tennessee Oncology. She specializes in the treatment of patients with cancer while leading initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and patient-centered outcomes through innovative value-based care models. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Baker is recognized for her leadership in community oncology, where she works to advance care delivery, enhance patient navigation, and integrate quality improvement strategies that make high-quality cancer care more accessible and affordable.
A graduate of Augusta University, Dr. Baker completed her residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and her fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Vanderbilt University. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology, and is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the Community Oncology Alliance. Through her clinical leadership, educational contributions, and advocacy for value-based oncology care, Dr. Baker continues to shape innovative models that improve outcomes for patients with cancer while advancing the future of community oncology.
