About

Ryan Funk, MD, is a radiation oncologist at Minnesota Oncology and Vice President of Radiation for the practice. He specializes in advanced radiation therapies for a range of cancers, with clinical interests that include head and neck tumors, prostate cancer—including brachytherapy—lung cancer, lymphoma, and gastrointestinal malignancies. His work focuses on using precision radiation techniques and evidence-based treatment planning to deliver effective cancer care while minimizing side effects and improving quality of life for patients.

Dr. Funk earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis after completing his undergraduate studies in biophysics at Brigham Young University. He went on to complete a transitional internship at Mercy Hospital St. Louis and a residency in radiation oncology at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education. In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed to oncology research and national conference presentations focused on radiation therapy techniques and outcomes, helping advance the evolving field of radiation oncology.
