About Dr. Tyler Seibert
Tyler Seibert, MD, PhD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist who sees people with a variety of cancers such as brain cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer. He is skilled in several high-precision radiotherapy techniques, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) for tumors in the brain, and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for tumors in the body.
His research focuses on cancer imaging and genetic risk factors for cancer. He has published numerous studies in scientific and medical journals.
Dr. Seibert completed residency training in radiation oncology at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He also completed a residency in transitional medicine at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. He earned his medical degree at UC San Diego School of Medicine and his doctorate in bioengineering from UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering.
Dr. Seibert is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the Radiological Society of North America. Outside of work, he enjoys soccer, running, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife and three children. Dr. Seibert speaks fluent Spanish.
