About

Dr. Abhinav Khanna is a Urologic Oncologist and Robotic Surgeon at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Khanna graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed Urology Residency at Cleveland Clinic, one of the top-ranked urology residency programs in the nation. Dr. Khanna completed specialized fellowship training in Urologic Oncology at Mayo Clinic. As a Urologic Oncologist, he specializes in prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer. Dr. Khanna has expertise in robotic surgery for urologic cancer, including nerve-sparing robotic prostatectomy, complex robotic partial nephrectomy, and fully robotic radical cystectomy with intracorporeal urinary diversion. His research focuses on developing and implementing artificial intelligence tools to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of urologic cancers. He serves as the Medical Director of the inpatient urology practice at Mayo Clinic Rochester Methodist Hospital, and is also the Fellowship Director of the Grainger Research Fellowship in Urology. His practice philosophy focuses on providing compassionate and empathetic care to each individual patient, and he has been recognized as one of the top performing physicians at Mayo Clinic for Patient Experience.
