Dr. Michelle Leach was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed a general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of California, San Diego, where she served as chief resident. She is a member of the American Urological Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
