About Dr. Ronald Cadillo
Dr. Cadillo-Chavez completed his robotic surgery training at one of the busiest Robotic Urology programs in United States. The University of Pennsylvania is a main referral center for Robotic Urology Surgery in United States. After completing his training, he returned to Puerto Rico as the only Urologist with a formal Fellowship in Robotic Urologic Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery in the Caribbean. In 2012, he joined to the Robotic Urology & Oncology Institute and HIMA San Pablo Hospital in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He has performed more than 2000 robotic procedures.
Dr. Cadillo-Chavez has performed numerous novel robotic procedures in the island, making him the first one to perform them in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Central America. The advantages of this type of minimally invasive surgery include faster recovery time, shorter hospitalization, reduced pain and discomfort, smaller incisions, reduced blood loss and minimal scarring.
