Dr. Stacy Loeb is an Assistant Professor of Urology and Population Health at New York University (NYU) and the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Medical Center, specializing in prostate cancer. Dr. Loeb attended medical school at Northwestern University and completed her urology residency training at Johns Hopkins. She subsequently completed a Masters of Science in Comparative Effectiveness Research at New York University, and recently received a K07 Career Development Award from the National Cancer Institute to study active surveillance for prostate cancer. Dr. Loeb has published more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and 8 book chapters, primarily on prostate cancer. She is on the Editorial Board for the British Journal of Urology International, European Urology, Urology Practice and Reviews in Urology, and authored the chapter on “Early Detection, Diagnosis, and Staging of Prostate Cancer” for Campbell-Walsh Urology, the primary textbook in the field. Dr. Loeb also frequently gives international lectures and courses on prostate cancer, and hosts the Men’s Health Show on Sirius XM 81 satellite radio.

Dr. Loeb is an active participant in social media with more than 2000 twitter followers. She is the Director of Social Media for the NYU Department of Urology, and has given lectures on social media in urology at multiple conferences in the US and Mexico. Dr Loeb is also a member of the Social Media Committees of the American Urological Association as well as the European Association of Urology Guidelines Office. At the EAU 2014 meeting, Dr Loeb received 2 awards from the BJU International for her social media activities: best social media campaign and the grand prize for best overall contribution to social media in urology.
