About
Mary W. Dunn, MSN, ANP, is a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner specializing in genitourinary oncology at UNC Urology, where she has provided multidisciplinary care to patients with genitourinary malignancies since 2010. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia and her Master of Science in Nursing, with a subspecialty in oncology, from Duke University. As a member of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and Adjunct Faculty at the UNC School of Nursing, Mary collaborates closely with urology and medical oncology teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. Her clinical interests include cancer survivorship, sexual health, palliative care, hereditary kidney cancer, and testicular cancer survivorship, and she serves as Director of the UNC Testicular Cancer Survivorship Clinic and Co-Director of the von Hippel-Lindau Clinical Care Center and Hereditary Renal Mass Clinic.
Recognized nationally for her contributions to oncology nursing, Mary has received numerous honors, including the UNC Oncology Nursing Excellence Award, the Oncology Nursing Society Excellence in Medical Oncology Award, and the American Urological Association's Advanced Practice Provider of the Year Award. She is an active leader in professional organizations including the Oncology Nursing Society, the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates, the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN), and the American Urological Association, where she co-directs the APP Oncology Curriculum. Through her research, education, advocacy, and leadership in survivorship initiatives, Mary continues to advance the care of patients with genitourinary cancers while helping educate healthcare professionals and improving survivorship resources nationwide.
