About Dr. Gabriel Werder

Dr. Gabriel Werder is a fellowship-trained board-certified Vascular/Interventional Radiologist with experience in various practice settings, including the hospital, office-based laboratory, and ambulatory surgical center. Dr. Werder is proficient in the entire spectrum of image-guided intervention, but has particular passions for (and expertise in) hemodialysis access, complex central venous reconstruction, uterine fibroid embolization, biliary/urinary diversion, kyphoplasty, interventional oncology, and thoracic duct embolization. Dr. Werder is comfortable reading noninvasive vascular imaging and ‘bread and butter’ diagnostic radiology, both of which he believes are important avenues to interact with referring clinicians and generate a healthy referral base. He also believes that a clinical (consult) practice model facilitates the interventionalist contributing maximal value to patients, the practice, and the broader medical community. Dr. Werder has held academic appointments and thoroughly enjoys postgraduate medical education.

Dr. Werder is energetic and highly motivated to deliver high quality patient care, pursue intellectually challenging procedural complexity, and contribute to the fiscal wellbeing of my practice. Although he works efficiently, Dr. Werder is accustomed to putting in long hours to meet these goals. He also recognizes that building and maintaining a successful practice requires a level of commitment that may extend beyond scheduled work & call hours. In addition to Dr. Werder's clinical responsibilities, he participates in medical device research and development, professional consultancy, and medical legal case review.
