About
Jennifer Watchmaker, MD, PhD is a Endovascular Neurosurgery Fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, where she completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology followed by fellowship training in Interventional Radiology. She is currently pursuing advanced subspecialty training in endovascular neurosurgery with a focus on complex cerebrovascular disease across the lifespan.
Her clinical and academic interests center on pediatric and neonatal endovascular neurosurgery, including vein of Galen malformations, pediatric AVMs, and congenital cerebrovascular anomalies, with particular emphasis on early-life hemodynamics, multidisciplinary decision-making, and longitudinal outcomes. Her research incorporates advanced imaging, quantitative MRI techniques, and outcomes-based analyses to inform timing and strategy of intervention in high-risk pediatric populations.
