About
Dr. Julie Bulman is a vascular and interventional radiologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. Her practice spans a range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures, with particular interests in venous disease, dialysis access, IVC filter retrieval, pelvic congestion syndrome, uterine fibroid embolization, and treatment of varicose veins. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine before completing her internship and radiology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center and fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Alongside her work in the interventional radiology suite, Dr. Bulman plays an important role in physician training as Program Director for BIDMC’s Integrated and Independent Interventional Radiology Residency Programs. Her academic interests include healthcare economics, procedural outcomes, and improving how interventional radiology services are delivered to patients. Through her combination of clinical practice, research, and residency leadership, Dr. Bulman works to expand the role of minimally invasive therapies while preparing future interventional radiologists for careers in the specialty.
