About

Prof. Maria Die Trill is the Director of Psycho-Oncology Institute ATRIUM in Madrid, Spain and current President of the International Psycho-Oncology Society, IPOS. She developed the first psycho-oncology unit in Spain after 10 years of working in the US (Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NY; Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Harvard Medical School, Boston). She is the director of a Master’s degree program in Psycho-Oncology and Psychological Aspects of Palliative Care at the University Miguel de Cervantes and has received several awards including the 1st International Scholar Award in Medical Crisis Counselling from the Linda Pollin Foundation (NY, USA), the Cornelia Perry Award in Public Speaking & the Meaning of Life (NY) and the first Noemi Fisman Award in Clinical Excellence from the International Psycho-Oncology Society. She is an invited speaker in various European and Latin American countries and is the author of numerous scientific papers, training videos and two books.
