Dr. Rakesh S. Ahuja is a dedicated physician specializing in Pediatric and Adult Interventional Radiology. He earned his medical degree from K. J. Somaiya Medical College, Mumbai, India, and completed an Integrated Vascular and Interventional Radiology Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA, where he excelled as chief resident. Following this, he did a fellowship in Pediatric Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Boston Children's Hospital at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Most recently, Dr. Ahuja served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center and clinical faculty at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston, TX.
Board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology, Dr. Ahuja possesses comprehensive expertise in various facets of vascular and interventional radiology, with a particular focus on pediatric interventions. Dr. Ahuja's special interest lies in pediatric interventional oncology, venous thromboembolic diseases, percutaneous orthopedic interventions, vascular malformations etc. His commitment to the field is underscored by leadership roles in esteemed organizations such as the Society of Interventional Radiology. A dedicated educator, Dr. Ahuja actively contributes to medical education, imparting knowledge to students, residents, and fellows.
