About
Ripal Tarun Gandhi, M.D., FSIR, FSVM, is a vascular interventional radiologist and interventional oncologist with Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute. Dr. Gandhi specializes in vascular and interventional radiology, with a focus on interventional oncology and advanced, image-guided therapies for the treatment of cancer and complex vascular conditions.
Dr. Gandhi did his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University and Harvard University and he earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed a surgical internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at UCLA Medical Center. He then completed fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology at UCLA. In addition, he completed research fellowships at both the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
With extensive clinical experience, Dr. Gandhi has played a leading role in the advancement of interventional oncology and endovascular therapies. His areas of expertise include image-guided tumor ablation, radioembolization, transarterial chemoembolization and complex venous and arterial interventions. He has served as a principal investigator and co-investigator in numerous clinical trials and has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, as well as a textbook.
