About

Dr. Thomas Davis is a highly respected interventional cardiologist based in Michigan, renowned for his expertise in Watchman, Mitral Valve, and TAVR procedures, as well as peripheral artery disease and innovative, non-surgical approaches to limb salvage. A graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine, he completed his residency and fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, specializing in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. Dr. Davis has played a key role in advancing cardiovascular care through both clinical practice and research. He currently serves as the Director of Cardiovascular Research at St. John Hospital and Medical Center and has led departments such as the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Peripheral Interventions.




Throughout his career, he has been at the forefront of developing and performing advanced procedures, including lower extremity arterial disease stenting and carotid artery stenting. His active involvement in clinical trials and advisory roles for emerging endovascular technologies underscores his commitment to innovation in the field. In 2021, Dr. Davis was appointed Chief Medical Officer at Avinger, a company specializing in image-guided technologies for the treatment of peripheral artery disease. His contributions continue to shape the future of interventional cardiology, both in Michigan and across the nation.
