Dr. Trevor Cummings is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and equal-share owner and partner of Emergency Care Specialists, the largest independent physician-owned emergency medicine practice in West Michigan. He practices at a Level I trauma center that treats more than 100,000 patients annually, where he has developed expertise in emergency medicine, observation medicine, cardiovascular care, and procedural sedation. Throughout his career, Dr. Cummings has focused on advancing population health, developing evidence-based clinical care pathways, and integrating technology and informatics to improve healthcare delivery.
A graduate of Michigan State University, Wayne State University School of Medicine, and Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners (GRMEP), Dr. Cummings has held numerous leadership roles within both his physician group and hospital system. His experience includes serving as Medical Director, Emergency Medicine Department Chair, Education and Fellowship Director, Cardiovascular Liaison and Chest Pain Center Medical Director, Provider Informaticist, and Director of Informatics. In addition to his clinical and administrative leadership, he serves on multiple organizational committees and is a consultant and promotional speaker for several pharmaceutical and medical device companies, contributing to advancements in emergency medicine and healthcare innovation.
