About
Dr. Waqaar Diwan is a board-certified interventional and diagnostic radiologist and co-founder of Minimally Invasive Specialists of Texas. He completed his residency training in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and went on to pursue advanced fellowship training in Interventional Radiology at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center. During his training at the Texas Medical Center, Dr. Diwan gained extensive experience caring for patients at leading institutions including Ben Taub Hospital, Memorial Hermann, Texas Children’s Hospital, St. Luke’s Health, and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Diwan specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that provide effective alternatives to traditional surgery. His clinical expertise includes the treatment of uterine fibroids, benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate), knee osteoarthritis, cancer-related conditions, and venous and arterial vascular disease. Through advanced interventional radiology techniques, he is dedicated to helping patients achieve improved outcomes with less pain, smaller incisions, and faster recovery times.
