As CVL’s vice president of ambulatory care, Kristen Richards provides support, leadership, and expertise to our platform’s cardiac catheterization labs, ambulatory service centers (ASCs), and office-based labs (OBLs). She draws on her extensive operational experience, value-based care (VBC) expertise, and strong track record of success to support CVL’s premier partner practices.
Kristen’s decades-long career in the cardiovascular space includes senior-level roles at leading healthcare organizations. She most recently served as vice president of cardiovascular operations at Atlas Healthcare Partners, where she drove cost savings and efficiency improvements by streamlining operations, optimizing the supply chain, enhancing business processes, building high-performance teams, and negotiating high-value contracts. She previously served as senior health economics manager at Philips Healthcare, cultivating strong partnerships while developing profitable value-based risk-sharing models, and as director of cardiovascular services at Banner Heart Hospital, where she established a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science in respiratory therapy from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Business Administration in healthcare administration from Grand Canyon University. She regularly shares her insights and expertise as a conference keynote speaker on topics such as VBC, the state of cardiovascular services, and key priorities for healthcare organizations.
