About

Andrew M. Goldsweig, MD, MS, is an interventional cardiologist at Baystate Health and serves as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Director of Cardiovascular Clinical Research at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. He is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School – Baystate. Dr. Goldsweig specializes in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease, with clinical expertise in catheter-based procedures for coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and other complex cardiovascular conditions. His work focuses on using minimally invasive technologies to improve patient outcomes and expand treatment options for patients who may not be candidates for open-heart surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Goldsweig is actively involved in cardiovascular research and national professional leadership. He has served as an investigator on numerous multicenter clinical trials evaluating structural heart and coronary interventions and contributes to advancing best practices in interventional cardiology through guideline development, editorial work, and professional society leadership. Through his clinical care, research, and education, Dr. Goldsweig remains committed to advancing innovative cardiovascular therapies while helping physicians translate emerging evidence into everyday practice.
