About

Dr. Sameh Sayfo is an accomplished interventional cardiologist with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases. His clinical practice encompasses the management of peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), venous thromboembolic disease—including pulmonary embolism and IVC filter placement and retrieval—as well as atrial septal defect (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure.




Dr. Sayfo is highly skilled in advanced coronary and peripheral interventions, with specialized proficiency in endovascular aortic repair (EVAR), chronic venous occlusion and reconstruction, and percutaneous peripheral arterial bypass (PTAB). He also performs carotid artery stenting and other minimally invasive procedures aimed at improving patient outcomes and quality of life. He is board certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, and holds the American Board of Vascular Medicine certification. In addition, he is certified by the National Board of Echocardiography and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.




In leadership roles, Dr. Sayfo serves as the Director of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) and Program Director of the Peripheral Endovascular Fellowship at BSW The Heart Hospital - Plano where he is dedicated to advancing innovation, education, and excellence in vascular care. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Education Committee for the PERT Consortium and contributes to the Vascular Disease Council at SCAI.
