About
Paul Rusilko, DO, FACS, is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Urology, Plastic Surgery, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He serves as the Director for UPMC's Reconstructive Urology and Men's Health Division. Dr. Rusilko is the Associate Residency Program Director for the urology residency program. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons GURS. He specializes in reconstructive and trauma surgery of the genitourinary system. Complex urologic procedures performed include urethral reconstruction, urethroplasty, adult acquired buried penis, urologic prosthetics for both erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence, Peyronie’s disease, genitourinary reconstruction, and penile cancer.
Dr. Rusilko is a recognized published expert on topics including adult acquired buried penis conditions for both medical and surgical managements, urethral stricture disease, and urologic prosthetic surgery for erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence. He is actively involved in clinical research with the departments of Urology, Plastic Surgery, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He serves as a lecturer and surgical proctor in urologic prosthetic surgery for Boston Scientific. He is an active member of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons, and Sexual Medicine Society of North America. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is board-certified by the American Board of Urology.
He earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Rusilko completed his urology residency at Northeast Ohio Medical University and fellowship training in reconstructive and trauma urology at The Detroit Medical Center. Prior to joining UPMC, Dr. Rusilko was an assistant professor in the Department of Urology at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Science in Washington, D.C.
