About

Khanjan H. Nagarsheth, MD, MBA, is a vascular surgeon at the University of Maryland Medical Center and a Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He specializes in the treatment of complex arterial and venous disease, with clinical interests that include limb preservation, aortic aneurysms, and advanced endovascular therapies. His work focuses on helping patients avoid major complications such as amputation by using innovative, minimally invasive techniques and coordinated, multidisciplinary care.

Dr. Nagarsheth serves in multiple leadership roles, including Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs and Co-Director of the Limb Preservation Program, where he leads efforts to improve outcomes for patients with advanced vascular disease. He has particular expertise in complex revascularization and novel procedures such as deep vein arterialization, which can restore blood flow in patients with limited treatment options. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in research, clinical trials, and surgical education, helping advance new approaches in vascular surgery while training the next generation of physicians.
