About Dr. Kumar Madassery

Dr. Kumar Madassery, MD, is an Associate Professor of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and Rush Oak Park Hospital. He is the Director of The Advanced Vascular & Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center, the only one in the nation. Also, Dr. Madassery is the Director of Peripheral Vascular
Interventions, CLI Program and the IVC Filter Clinic at Rush.

Dr. Madassery received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science, and his Diagnostic Radiology residency was performed at Rush University Medical Center. He completed his Vascular & Interventional Radiology at Rush University Medical Center as well.

Dr. Madassery has authored and co-authored numerous articles, has given numerous grand rounds and educational presentations around the country & globally. He is on the Standards and Practices Committee within the Society of Interventional Radiology, ECS Governing Council Chair, and Organizing Committee for the annual LEARN meeting. A majority of his practice is dedicated to Critical Limb Ischemia Revascularization and Limb Preservation Management. He is also in the process of producing a multidisciplinary Comprehensive Limb Preservation Guidebook, with over 60 co-authors he has enlisted. Other interests include Complex IVC Filter Retrievals, Dialysis Interventions, Venous Reconstructions, and Interventional Oncology.
