Dr. Joaquim Pinheiro Vieira Filho is a pediatric oncologist and palliative care specialist who serves as Head of the Palliative Care Service at A.C.Camargo Cancer Center, where he is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with complex oncologic conditions, including those with gynecological tumors. He earned his medical degree from the Federal University of Goiás, completed residency training in pediatrics at UNICAMP, and pursued specialization in pediatric oncology at Centro Infantil Boldrini. His clinical expertise is further strengthened by advanced training in palliative medicine, pain management, and pediatric supportive care through institutions such as the University of São Paulo, along with certification in acupuncture. With a multidisciplinary background spanning oncology, symptom control, and holistic care approaches, Dr. Vieira Filho focuses on improving quality of life for patients and their families across the cancer care continuum.
