About

Dr. Mateus Picada Corrêa is a vascular and endovascular surgeon specializing in interventional radiology and minimally invasive therapies for complex vascular conditions. He earned his medical degree from the Federal University of Santa Maria and completed his residency in vascular surgery at PUC-Rio, followed by advanced training in angioradiology and endovascular surgery. He further refined his expertise as a clinical research fellow at the Mayo Clinic, where he developed a strong foundation in image-guided, catheter-based techniques. Dr. Corrêa currently practices at INVASC (Instituto Vascular de Passo Fundo), where he treats patients using targeted, minimally invasive approaches designed to reduce recovery time and improve long-term outcomes.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Corrêa is a professor of surgery at Universidade de Passo Fundo, where he is actively involved in training the next generation of vascular specialists. His academic and research efforts focus on advancing embolization therapies for conditions such as osteoarthritis and chronic pain, expanding non-surgical treatment options for patients. Through his combined roles in clinical practice, education, and research, Dr. Corrêa is committed to delivering innovative, evidence-based care while helping shape the future of minimally invasive vascular interventions.
