Gynecologic Cancer Care: Prevention, Treatment, and Surveillance

This course examines gynecologic cancer care across the spectrum of surveillance, radiation therapy, and hereditary risk management. You will learn to apply current surveillance guidelines and evaluate the evidence supporting de-escalation of cytology and routine imaging, as well as to understand advances in radiation planning, brachytherapy techniques, and long-term toxicity management. The curriculum also covers the identification of hereditary cancer red flags, approaches to patient counseling for genetic testing and risk-reducing surgery, hormone therapy after gynecologic cancer, and the emerging applications of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA). Additional topics include survivorship counseling to support quality of life after treatment. Learn from Drs.
