About

Kevin Burns, MD, is an interventional radiologist at Minimally Invasive Medical Group, which has offices in Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, and Irvine, California. He holds board certification in interventional radiology and offers specialized care in less invasive, image-led treatments at Providence Mission Hospital and Leonard Cancer Institute. He specializes in genicular artery embolization and genicular nerve ablation for the treatment of conditions such as arthritis pain and frozen shoulder, and as an alternative to surgical procedures such as knee replacement. Additionally, Dr. Burns excels in techniques such as tumor embolization and ablation for cancer care and also provides relief from pain associated with bone tumors. He's also well-versed in performing kyphoplasty to alleviate pain from spinal fractures, uterine fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization for treating enlarged prostate (BPH), removing blood clots and pulmonary embolisms, venous rebuilding, and IVC filter extraction. Dr. Burns completed his undergraduate studies in biochemistry and molecular biology at Brown University. He received his medical education at New York University School of Medicine and did his residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He further honed his skills in interventional radiology and oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
