Dr. Kirema Imar Garcia-Reyes is an interventional radiologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic, Molecular, and Interventional Radiology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she practices across multiple hospitals within the Mount Sinai Health System. She specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures used to diagnose and treat a wide range of vascular and oncologic conditions, including abdominal aortic aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, venous thrombosis, and interventional oncology therapies such as embolization. Her clinical approach centers on using advanced imaging techniques to deliver targeted treatments that reduce the need for open surgery while improving precision and recovery for patients.
Dr. Kirema Imar Garcia-Reyes earned her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, followed by an internal medicine internship at Duke University Hospital, residency training in diagnostic radiology at UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion, and fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology at Mount Sinai. Board-certified by the American Board of Radiology, she combines a strong academic foundation with a multidisciplinary clinical practice, collaborating with specialists across oncology, surgery, and vascular medicine to develop comprehensive, patient-centered treatment plans.
