Dr. Daniel Barocas is a urologic oncologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Barocas also holds positions as a professor in the Department of Urology, and the executive vice chair of the Department of Urology. He attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and comepleted his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Dr. Barocas' clinical interests include genitourinary cancer, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, laparoscopy and robotics. Dr. Barocas is also an accomplished researcher, focusing on quality of life, quality of care, and comparative effectiveness. He is the principal investigator of a multi-center study on the effectiveness and side effects of different treatments for prostate cancer.
