Dr. Hady Lichaa

Dr. Lichaa completed his medical doctor degree at Saint Joseph University in Beirut Lebanon, then moved to Camden New Jersey where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Cooper University Hospital / University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He achieved his board certification in Internal Medicine then moved on to complete his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the same university hospital, where he was granted a board certification in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and registered physician vascular ultrasound interpretation. He finalized his post-graduate education with two additional fellowships in Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular interventions at the same academic institution.

Dr. Lichaa is Board Certified in six specialties: Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, Interventional Cardiology, Endovascular Interventions, Vascular Ultrasound Interpretation and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Lichaa is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Nashville Tennessee and practices general cardiology, interventional cardiology and endovascular interventions at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford and West, in Murfreesboro and Nashville Tennessee. He is an active faculty in the Cardiology fellowship program of the University of Tennessee Nashville. He was selected as a teaching faculty at the annual Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions’ fellows’ course.

Dr Lichaa built a regional program dedicated to the interventional treatment of complex coronary artery disease, chronic limb threatening ischemia and deep venous disease. He currently serves as the vice chairman of the interventional cardiology council at Ascension Saint Thomas Heart.

Dr Lichaa was recently granted the highest honor and recognition by his fellow physicians at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, as the recipient of the 2023 Clinical Excellence Award.

He has been recognized as a Fellow of three professional societies - the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), Society of Vascular Medicine (SVM) and American College of Cardiology (ACC) - which is the ultimate recognition of professional achievement.

Dr Lichaa has recently chaired the Practice Task Force Committee of SVM and currently serves on the SCAI vascular council, American College of Cardiology Tennessee council and West Tennessee council of the Tennessee Healthcare Coalition.

A thought leader and innovator in the field, Dr. Lichaa is academically published in major cardiovascular journals, mostly through innovative interventional techniques, which focus on optimizing patient safety and procedural morbidity. He also serves as an abstract reviewer for the American College of Cardiology and as a peer-to-peer reviewer for major cardiovascular journals.

He is frequently invited to speak at regional, national, international professional meetings including the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, European Association for Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions, American College of Cardiology and Trans-Catheter Therapeutics congress. Dr Lichaa is also an active inventor of cardiovascular devices which fill significant clinical needs and optimize procedural outcomes.

Finally, Dr Lichaa enjoys spending precious time and traveling with his family. His favorite free time involves riding ATVs with his two boys, in the beautiful trails of Tennessee.
