About

Seth Dailey, MD, is a UW Health otolaryngologist, a professor in the Department of Surgery as well as the Laryngology Fellowship program director at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Dailey received his bachelor's degree from Columbia University, followed by a medical doctorate completed at NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Dailey completed an internship in General Surgery at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. He furthered his medical training with a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Albert Einstein College of Medicine followed by a fellowship in Laryngology in Boston, MA

Dr. Dailey treats patients of all ages with ENT conditions, including head and neck cancer, voice disorders, vocal cord paralysis, airway problems and swallowing disorders. Dr. Dailey’s primary areas of interest are office-based procedures, vocal fold reconstruction and leukoplakia (precancerous lesions of the vocal folds). He specializes in voice, airway and swallowing disorders. He also has expertise in professional and performing voice disorders, laryngeal cancer, laryngeal premalignancy, spasmodic dysphonia, laryngeal tremor, vocal cord paralysis, recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, airway stenosis, and dysphagia. Along with his team members, he has the skills and expertise to diagnose and treat all types of ENT problems. Dr. Dailey enjoys forming long-term relationships with patients with chronic ENT conditions and seeing them improve over time.

He performs research on surgical education and surgical innovation. The focus of Dr. Dailey’s research is on surgical reconstruction of the vocal fold, vocal fold scarring, laryngeal premalignancy, office-based procedures of the upper airway and laryngeal education. Dr. Dailey is active in fellowship and resident education and leads his students in projects related to voice, swallowing and airway disease.
