Radiology Private Equity Update
Teleradiology, artificial intelligence, and private equity takeovers—how do we navigate these rapid changes in the radiology landscape? In this episode, our co-hosts Dr. Ally Baheti and Dr. Mike Barraza bring Dr. Ben White back to the show to provide an update on the current radiology job market and share his insights on reclaiming value for the profession. Dr. White begins by reflecting on the changes since his last appearance with us in 2022, focusing primarily on the ongoing shortage of radiologists, which has lasted longer than anticipated during the pandemic, and the explosion of teleradiology.

About
Presently, Dr. White's roles encompass being a father, husband, neuroradiologist, writer, speaker, and consistently strapped for time.
Born in New York and raised partially there, he spent his more formative years in Dallas. His collegiate tenure took place at Harvard. Subsequently, he returned to Texas for medical school, residency, fellowship, and entering the realm of an attending physician. Over time, his debt-to-income ratio has been showing improvement.
Apart from authoring books and writing, his online persona includes 14 years of overseeing Nanoism, the world's longest-standing journal of Twitter fiction (@nanoism, fittingly). This venture sprouted from recognizing the initial monotony of the first year of medical school.
