About Dr. William Morrison

Dr. William Morrison, MD is a distinguished radiologist. He obtained his medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College in 1990, and then completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1995, followed by a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology. He is affiliated with Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital, Jefferson Washington Township Hospital, Jefferson Stratford Hospital. Dr. Morrison is Professor of Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and Director of the Division of General & Musculoskeletal Radiology.

Dr. Morrison specializes in head & neck cancer, skin cancer, merkel cell carcinoma, thyroid cancer, and musculoskeletal MRI. He has received more than 20 awards and honors for his service and work, and is regarded as one of the top national and international authorities in the field of musculoskeletal imaging.

Dr. Morrison serves as a manuscript reviewer and on the editorial board for several organizations and publications, including the American Journal of Roentgenology, Radiology and Skeletal Radiology. He has published hundreds of peer-reviewed articles and abstracts, in addition to writing several book chapters and co-authoring the texts Minimally Invasive Musculoskeletal Pain Medicine, Problem Solving in Musculoskeletal Radiology and Imaging of the Musculoskeletal System. He also gives lectures to radiologists, rheumatologists and orthopedic surgeons worldwide, and serves on numerous executive and academic committees and expert panels, including the Society of Skeletal Radiology (SSR) Executive Committee and the Expert Panel on Musculoskeletal Radiology for the American College of Radiology (ACR).
