About Dr. Ari Kramer

Dr. Ari Kramer, MD, is an assistant professor of surgery at Spartanburg Medical Center, where he has served as the principal vascular access surgeon for the establishment and in the maintenance and surveillance of dialysis access since 2005. He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, and subsequently completed his General Surgical training at Spartanburg Medical Center. He has been in practice for more than 20 years.

Dr. Kramer has expertise in treating surgical removal of colon, and his service provides an array of traditional and minimally invasive dialysis access options to patients with renal failure in much of Upstate, South Carolina and lower North Carolina. He currently maintains American College of Surgeons Board Certification, and his professional accomplishments include teaching awards, national and international podium presentations, educational seminars, peer-reviewed journal publications, ongoing participation in quality improvement projects and emerging technology trials focused on improving care for patients with renal impairment.

Recently, Dr. Kramer successfully performed the first U.S. implantation of the VasQ device, a product developed by Laminate Medical Technologies to assist surgical fistula success.
