About

Gina Landinez, MD, is a vascular and interventional radiologist at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and specializes in interventional oncology and palliation — areas where minimally invasive radiologic techniques are used for the treatment of various cancers and palliative needs. Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Landinez served as an assistant clinical professor of clinical radiology at the University of California, San Francisco. She completed a general surgery internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at that same institution. She went on to complete an interventional radiology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She focuses on the treatment and management of soft tissue and bone tumors, pathological fractures and malignant small bowel obstructions. She is utilizing cryoablation as an alternative option for the treatment of desmoid tumors and has been involved in creating unique treatment approaches for palliative care and life extension. Additionally, she treats several chronic hepatobiliary processes including cholelithiasis, choledocholithiasis and benign biliary structures utilizing a small scope and lithotripsy, freeing non-surgical patients of life-long drains. Her research interests lie in interventional oncology, interventional palliation and healthcare disparities. She has authored papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at national and international healthcare conferences.
